The Alice Springs Bunnings BBQ fundraiser on 4th May was another great success raising $1,732.55 for NT Police Legacy Inc.
‘Thank you’ for dropping in to purchase a snag and a drink, for donating and volunteering your time with all funds raised going to support the families of NT Police Legacy. We appreciate the ongoing commitment and sponsorship of the Northern Territory Police Association and Woolworths Alice Springs for their kind donations towards this fundraiser.
It is more than selling a snag though, together with stakeholders who donate the goods and the volunteers who give their time to organise and present at the stall it is also about ‘raising awareness’ of this body and who it supports.
As a self-supporting not for profit incorporated association we are funded by donors, sponsors and fundraising. We are grateful for their support and through their generosity we are able to provide a service to those in the `police family’ who have been struck by the loss of a loved one whilst serving.
Bunnings Alice Springs is one of those sponsors and as part of their commitment in the community provides ongoing assistance to a wide range of local community groups. The Bunnings Sausage Sizzle has provided a simple way for not-for-profits to raise funds to continue their important work in their community, for over 25 years.
