Brisbane Story Bridge Climb 2024
The annual Police Legacy National Conference was held in Brisbane this year, 26-28th July 2024, hosted by Queensland Police Legacy, attended by all state & territory Police Legacies. NT Police Legacy was represented by board member Acting Commander, Drew Slape and Secretary Karen Cheal.
It is an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and to strengthen our support for the police family. The exchange of knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas was truly inspiring.
The respective Board Chairs and Representatives support and sign the ‘MOU’ (Memorandum of Understanding) between the Police Legacies. Despite each state and territory being separate organisations, and governed independently by separate constitutions, they have similar and objectives.
This collaboration between jurisdictions is of great benefit to the NT Police Legacy Families who live around Australia who offer joint support where possible. Our Families are living throughout Australia and access support from both SA and WA Police Legacies.
2024 sees NT Police Legacy Inc take over the role of Secretariat for the coming 12 months and to host the National Conference in 2025. It will be a privilege for the Board of Management to host this group and hope to showcase what is the ‘NT’, with another great opportunity to collaborate and celebrate the cause that supports and provides for Police Legacy Families across Australia.
